The Blogger Cooler

You know, like the conversations around your office water cooler? Only, the conversations will be with cooler people. And you don't have to be afraid of your boss listening to your conversation. And, you can say anything you want during your conversation. Okay, so I guess it's nothing like the conversations around your office water cooler. Just leave a comment, dammit!

To Post a Pic or Not To Post a Pic

I've been trying to decide if I should post my picture. I don't really care what people think of me, but, I'm afraid of stalkers. Seriously, they are like all over the internet apparently; and, I don't want to catch one.

Also, "Lisa" says if I post my picture, random people on the street will recognize me and start talking to me. And, really, who wants to talk to people?

So, uhhh, is it better to stay anon (aka Sydney Bristow as my friend Lez says) or to let everyone see the "real" you?

Let a sister know, would ya?

Mr. Walken has nothing to say on the subject of true identity.

I don't know if you could say it's better or worse to post a picture. Just personal choice. I would say that since you are asking, it might be better to err on the side of caution (not posting).

I personally like to know who I am 'talking' to. BUT.....sometimes it's fun to try and figure out what someone looks like without actually seeing. Shit I dont know. I have mine up. ok. GO for it!

No PIC!!!
Stalkers are everywhere!

BTW Reese i can not believe you took me seriously when I said people would recognize you. Though I guess anything is possible. I wouldn't but thats just because of what I do. I probobaly never will post a pic even if I was fired tomorrow. If you want to go ahead but I do think KOM is right in saying if you have any reservations at all then dont.

Dez, you be quiet!! ;p~~

So, KOM says no and Lisa says yes. I don't know. I don't know. ;p

Don't get me wrong. I'd like to see a picture as well, just so I know what you look like (I promise to act surpriesed when I realize you're not a tall asian man).

But if you're at all concerned, it's not worth worrying about.

You mean you aren't a South Park character?

Eh, just describe yourself OR let "Lisa" do it on her Blog.

OR put your Pic on "lisa"'s blog, and only tell a few people that it's you. You know in like a group photo. Nevermind, you could do that on your Blog.

Screw it, don't show us what you look like, we don't wanna know anyways! So there!
Nyaaah!
:P~~~~~

NOOO!! I don't trust "Lisa" to describe me. Who knows what she'll say?

That's NOT an invitation "Lisa." ;p~~

You could be like me and just steal someone's photo online. You don't really think I look like this, do you?

i've had my face on the net for 8 years, my face on TV (doing odd stuff, don't ask) and i've given my photo out to everyone on this planet almost, and only once have I had anyone recognise me, but it wasn't from my photo, it was from something I said that he figured I knew someone he knew.

Anyway, he stalked me for about 3 weeks until I got someone to threaten him and i've had no one recognise me by sight or comment since.

Nothing to worry about really deary, nothing at all :)

I never thought of stalkers. I personally don't post a picture of my face because I don't want people I know to know about the personal stuff I blog about. I think you should post a picture that has been altered in Photoshop so that people can see what you look like, but they probably couldn't ID you on the street.
