Here's a debate I had once with "Lisa" and Eliza. If you're not a comic book fan, you probably won't get it...
Who would win in a fight to the death: The Justice League or the X-Men?
Assuming the JL is Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, The Martian Manhunter, Flash, and Hawkgirl. The X-Men are Professor X, Storm, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Rogue, and Cyclops.
Discuss, debate, relax, relate, release, whatever... ;)

Well, I am not much of a comic fan, but I will have to say the Justice League...why? Because Wonder Woman kicks A$$!!!!
Justice League, because you all know my "thing" for Wonder Woman (if you've read my blog).
Put her in her skateboarding mode (complete with heels) and give her a tiny piece of dental floss and she'd singlehandedly kick their butts - and still keep her hair and tiara in place.

The key here is to take out the Prof first.
If you don't, than the X-men win EASILY.
If his mind control mumbo jumbo doesn't work on alien minds, the JLA would hand the X-men they're collective "Mutie" ass.
Not only did I have this arguement with my buddies years ago, we used to play the Marvel Superhero RPG and decided to give it a go. Substituting the Squadron Supreme for the JLA with minor adjustments.
If you don't take out the prof FIRST, it's all over!

Has JLA raised a large "anti-mutant", militas roming the streets kind of fuss?
Does Prof. X's mind control work on aliens?
Would this be a go home and lick your wounds kind of fight, or are we talking about a us-or-them fight to the death bloodbath?
And, most importantly, does Gleek get to play?
I need more input before I can hazard a guess.

Didn't Prof. X speak telpathically with Lilandra of the Shi-Ar? At least some of his powers would seem to work on aliens.
KOM: This is an all out fight. The fight of all fights. The whole team doesn't have to survive. The team with the last man standing wins. And, although I read many comic books, you'll have to let me know who Gleek is. ;)
If mind control works on aliens i'd say x-man would wipe the floor with the justice league.
Starterbutton, i'm very upset with you. I would have thought that sitting next to me at work would have at least put you more into the Wonder Woman is Wonderful mode, even if by submliminal brainwaves shooting out of my head in your direction.

I don't know, Reese - sounds like you just gave yourself up as a Marvel girl. Seems like the cards are already stacked against JLA.

But, I actually think the Justice League would win this fight. And, surprisingly, I think it all hinges on how much time the X-Men allow Batman to hang around and find a way to beat them.

It's a draw.
If I have to pick, I'll go with the theory that Prof. X cannot control J'onn J'onzz, so he gets taken out quickly. Therefore Batmans brains & Supermans brawn wipe the floor with the X-men.
I've got to agree with the consensus here. The "super friends" would win. But the casualties would be many. I imagine Superman standing alone in the street, body parts everywhere, thinking "wtf just happened?"
Another question: If MM takes out Prof. X, who takes out MM?
I'm going to go with a behind the back, energy draining attack from Rogue. Hopefully, she won't go craazzyy.
Would she just get his powers, or would she mutate into some pointy headed martain/rogue thing?
My guess is she just freak out, go into shock kinda thing.
Too many scenarios, too many unanswerable questions.
See, I think she knocks him out. Followed by her craziness. But, once he's knocked out...well...he'd be easy to get rid of.
Jerk we are sooooo in agreement on this one. Reese is a marvel girl to the core but I, a DC girl, brought her out of the dark side and convinced her of the might of the Justice League.
JL would kick those muttie buts in a heart beat. Of course many would die in the process but since it's last man standing I go with the Justice.
