Linebacker or Hunchback?
So, I'm preparing for the natural disaster known as the High School Reunion, and I'm thinking of wearing my back-up outfit instead of a new outfit. Only problem is, the backup outfit has shoulder pads in it.
So, ladies, should I take the shoulder pads out? I really hate shoulder pads. The thing is, sometimes I take them out and the outfit looks better. Other times, I take them out and I look like I'm hunched over.
So, keep them in or take them out?
I imagine this is the same dilemma Pam Anderson goes through everyday.
Bud-a-bum!
Hehehehe....

Do what i did, don't go.
hehe
Seriously, there were only 10 that were going (or could be found) and 9 of them were the "overachievers" - they turned into lawyers, doctors, etc etc.
Although i'm not ashamed of what i have done, being a "secretary" for a number of years amongst all those egos would have been a recipe for depression.
Go the shoulderpads :) Remember the 80s and live them well.
not that everyone who is a doctor/lawyer etc is an overachiever, these girls just have the egos of.... hollywood.
Most of their parents were Sydney Celebrities, which might explain it all......
Take the shower pads out
Believe me, Squishi, if I hadn't paid for the $65 ticket, I wouldn't go.
But, now certain friends of mine expect me to go. ;p
Hmmm? I've got 1 vote for the 80's and 1 vote for the new century.
I still don't know what to do...
Take 'em out...if it looks awful, they can be put back in. :)
My 10-year reunion is coming up this year. I'm going to go, but I'm not sure why...I've now spoken to anyone I cared to find out about. Of course, I graduated with 36 people and am a *little* curious about what the rest are doing...
36 people? I thought I grew up in a small town...
I say take them out. At least you will be more confortable! I had a great time at my high school reunion last year. I bought a new blouse, but I couldn't hold a candle to all the girls I went to school with. Some of them were dressed like hootchi mamas though. I didn't feel so bad after seeing them!
No shoulder pads, just stand up straight girl!
OMG, R. You had vidi-ho's at your reunion! LOL! :D
If I go to my reunion and find out it's actually a vidi-ho casting call, I will laugh so hard. Then, I'll make sure to take pictures of all the vidi-ho's and post them on my blog. ;)
kom- private school. The local public school had about 80 in the graduating class, I think. My 'home' town has a total population of 7,500.
'Vidi-hos'? LOL!!! I was thinking about buying a new dress for my reunion, but now I think I might just wear an old one. Of course, that would mean giving up the opportunity to go SHOPPING...
i say take them out.
I picture you as more of a Safety than a Linebacker, get smaller pads.
Oh, J, wow, you have such great compliments for me this week. I just don't know what to do with myself with all those wonderful compliments you keep throwing my way.
I know! I'll go jump off a bridge. I mean, what kind of life is there for a big headed safety?
~scowl~
;p~~~
psumommy - did u go to my school?! just kidding, we had a little more than 7500 people where I'm from, but you're class sounds just like mine! I had my reunion 3 wks ago and it was trash. Just a waste of time. Blech!
My year 12 class (final year) had 21 people in it. The year below me had 18.
The school i went to before that had about 40 or so... yeah, private schools are SMALL and full of rich people's obnoxious kids :\ (except me, i'm not a rich kid and only slightly obnoxious!)
shoulder pads = bad
reunions = icky people I didn't like then
I always look for a reason to buy something new...I vote--go shopping.
Queen: That's what I ended up doing. I just bought a new dress. :)
