What do you Want on Your Subway??

Moving on from the uncomfortable silence brought on by Kom's joke (hehehehe, I'm just kidding man- I actually liked the joke)....

I was at Subway yesterday ordering a 6" roasted chicken breast on Italian Herbs and Cheese bread, with Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, and light Mayo, when I thought...

I wonder what everyone else gets?

So, what do you guys order at Subway? AND, what do you put on it. I want to know everything, including what bread you choose, how big your sandwich is, and if you're one of those oil and vinegar people.

Yea, so I'm nosy. So, what??

I try not to eat at subway. But truth be told, I've done it a couple times. I wish that they'd stop putting them by places that I need to go.

I like wheat bread. Usually get chicken or tukey, hold the mayo, no pickles, all else, yes.

Yes, and the onions, Mr. Sandwichista. Yes, and the lettuce. Yes, and the... what part of everything else are you not getting?

For christ's sake! Yes to the oil and vinegar! Yes to pepper! Why am I yelling?? WHY AM I YELLING? BECAUSE YOU'RE DRIVING ME CRAZY!

ROTFL!! So, Kom, you like your sandwhich with an amalgamation of tastes, huh? But, how can you taste anything with all that stuff on it?? ;)

What an interesting question. Subway kinda irritates me cause their commercials suck. Their food IS NOT all that fresh (depending on where you go) and just because we now have a choice between cold and heated, does not mean the menu has doubled. And don't get me started on the Subway across the street from my university-- stop scratching your damn head, you funky troll! Almost scarred me for life.

BUT I still eat there cause I love sandiches and they're the only sandwich place by my job. I like the cold cut trio, Italian BMT, or chicken bacon ranch on Italian herb and cheese. If they don't have that (they run out of it a lot), I get wheat. I like mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, and sometimes I may get bell peppers, olives, oil and vinegar.

Thanks, Reese. It's 6 a.m. and all I can think about is Subway now.

Almost forgot (I think you struck a nerve in me because I could talk for hours about Subway), I haven't gotten oil and vinegar in years because once at school, this guy soaked my bread in it and then put salt and pepper on the bread. I'm used to the "Sandwich Artist" putting it on the meat. My bread was soggy and crunchy at the same time. Very gross.

Certainly NOT John Rocker!!

Ooooooh, you mean the sandwich place. OK.

Wheat. BMT or Cold cut trio. No pickles,no mayo but EVERYTHING else.

Wow, I really like your thesis on Subway, Jomama. ;)

My Subway ALWAYS runs out of Italian Herbs and Cheese bread too. That's so annoying! I love that bread. I get so dissapointed when they don't have it. Seriously. It ruins my Subway experience.

i have a subway 500m from my house and have been once.

I just can't be bothered waiting so long for food.

But i do like the italian herb bread, turkey or ham or Southwestern Chicken with EVERYTHING except onion on it with honey mustard dressing :)

Jared the Subway guy annoys the crap out of me because of the amount of money he spent there, when he could have done it 1/10 of the price at home if he weren't so lazy (probably explains why he got so fat anyway)

Squishi - LOL, too funny.

I'm a wheat/turkey/light mayo/mustard/all veggies but onion and green peppers/oil and vinegar/salt and pepper w/ pepperoncinis(sp?) kinda girl.

If I just got paid, I'll pay the extra 50 cents for avocado too.

I rarely eat at Subway. The last time was when KOM and I actually worked near each other, and went out together for lunch. We shared some kind of sweet chicken sandwich that was really good. Otherwise, I get ham and cheddar on wheat with mayo lettuce and onions. That's it. nothing else. I hate mustard, and pepperoncinis scare me. I will eat tomato if it's already on there. I dislike most dressings so no on the oil and vinegar. I like the sandwiches they make at Safeway deli better. I can get one of those paninis - which is basically a giant grilled cheese sandwich. Yum! I know what I'm having for lunch!

Is pepperoncinis that red pepper relish stuff? My mom loves that stuff.

Nah, pepperocini's or however the heck you spell them, are those flat light green peppers. They are kind of waxy and not very hot.

I can't believe NOBODY got my John Rocker/subway joke!!
Sad, truly sad.

I got your John Rocker right here!

J and the concern over sandwhich jokes. Remember when you were on a roll...?

I'll let it slide, because you appear to have the same taste in sandwiches.

How do I taste anything with all of that stuff on it? I defer to Jomama - it's not all that fresh. You need to bulk up so that it doesn't taste like a gym sock.

That and I'm cheap. If it costs the same whether I get it or not, better put it on :)

I understood your Subway joke, J.

I wonder if Rocker would join me for a Roasted Chicken Breast sub at subway? Something tells me, no...

Are new poeple allowed? I just ate Subway yesterday, so I thought I'd share my sandwich.
Honey oat bread, tuna, cheese, lettuce, tomato, green pep, red onion, banana pep, mustard, oil and vinegar, salt, pepper, oregano.
I usually leave off the onion, but I was going home to eat it, so I splurged because I knew I could brush the teeth after.

Subway gets put into the fast food category for me and I go through phases of liking and hating it. You know...when you've eaten out too much. I'm in a liking phase now.Do you guys ever go through that with restaurants? Oversaturation?

CP, Welcome to the Blogger Cooler. :)

Yea, I have been the victim of oversaturation of a fast food joint. I used to be ADDICTED to Chipotle. For three years, I think I ate it non-stop. And, then, I couldn't stand it anymore. I don't think I've set foot in a Chipotle in 2 years. Lesson learned, though. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing. ;)

I am much more of a Panera girl... but at subway, I really like the veggie sub... no I am NOT a vegetarian... I just like their veggie sub.... with everything on it but hot peppers.

My God people get it without oil and vinager. I had no idea.
Look I get everything except pepper and mayo. Mayo on sandwhiches is just plain disgusting.
