The Blogger Cooler

You know, like the conversations around your office water cooler? Only, the conversations will be with cooler people. And you don't have to be afraid of your boss listening to your conversation. And, you can say anything you want during your conversation. Okay, so I guess it's nothing like the conversations around your office water cooler. Just leave a comment, dammit!

Man Question

Hey guys.

Got a question for ya.

Do men typically track when a woman is ovulating when they are first dating and definately NOT trying to conceive?

Holla back.

I don't think the typical male knows what ovulating is.

I'm imagining a utopia where the lamb lies with the lion, women don't kid about kicking men in the testicles, and men are concerned with ovulation.

Kom. There are people out there, that DO do this. It's nuts. But thanks for getting a good laugh from this horrid experience I had.

:P

Dez, I just went over and read your blog. I meant no offense, I thought that you were just posting a strange "what-if".

Having read your blog, I have to agree with the comment by Amy. It is out of the ordinary, but I can sort of unserstand his motives. How he got the data, however, is suspect.

Don't confuse certain idiosyncracies with "crazy". Everyone has their eccentirc habits. But if it makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, trust your instincts.

Oh, Kom! I didnt mean that comment on here seriously!! Granted, Friday night ya, I freaked, but now it's another joke in my life. All my friends are calling me to ask when my cycle is. LOL.

He got the info because he's always asking me when I'm moody, if it's that time, and I always just say ya because, well that's just an annoying question. :) I guess he guessed which time I wasn't lying maybe? I don't know.

Thanks for the explaination though!! =)

What?

Whoa.

Ask me if I know when I'm ovulating... ;)

My first reaction was "What's ovulating?".

I have trouble balancing my checkbook and remembering what channel & time certain TV shows are on.

I'm sure there might be guys out there that do keep track of that stuff, but I don't know one.

Thank you Reese - tell it like it is!

I have never met a guy who has asked about my ovulation cycle. Usually, the conversation is much more straight forward - like "are you on the pill?" and that will open the topic up to discuss birth control methods. I haven't read the post on your blog this is refering to - I'm not sure I want to!

I had to pee on a stick every few days to figure out when I was ovulating. Turns out my husband and I don't really need all that effort to get pregnant!

Most guys have a hard enough time keeping track of anniversary and birth day dates. Keeping track of ovulation? Think it would be an extremely small part of the male population that keeps up with or tries to track that.
